Soon to Be Mom and Dad
Congrats to Seth and Kristina on the announcement they are having a baby. Now THAT is how you come through in October. In 2026 their child will be eligible to be drafted by the Yankees. Just saying....

NFL Week 7 Recap
The fat lady may be singing early in this "battle" with Eric from That's What HE Said. He was better off when his fiancee picked for him. Last week we went 9-5 which is respectable and should get us back on the right track and above .500 this week. I'm pleased that the $10,000 wager with Eric was placed on these picks. Let's hope my wedding invite does not get lost in the mail.

Week 5 NFL Picks Recap
Buongiornio! Looks like Eric finally beat me in Pick 'em and I have to take my hats off to him, all the way from Rome, Italy. His Bears even won despite having a QB who looks to be having wayyyy too much fun in the picture above (Sexy Rexy is on the right).
I was 5-9 last week but at least the Gmen came through. I'm shocked they have actually learned to play Defense. Now if only the O could be more consistent they may be on to something. Week 6 picks will be made tomorrow when I arrive back in the states.
Week 5 Picks: 5-9

Week 5 NFL Picks
Thanks to Eric from That's What He Said I look like a great prognosticator. I mean this guy gets 2 games right a week and I am below .500 for the season. I am 10 games ahead though. I am afraid he will turn in around this weekend as his Fiancee Shelly takes the reigns from him. It can't get any worse, can it? Oh right, he's a Cubs fan.
This will be my first Sunday without football in a very long time as my wife and I will be in Italy for a week. Sunday will also be the first Yankees playoff game I've ever missed. She's worth it.

Pinella Should Have Listened to Me.
Come on Lou. Haven't you been reading Johnny Wishbone all season long? Win today's game, remember? If you had you would have left Zambrano in the game last night. How can you pull this guy in a tie game in the 6th inning. He is your best PLAYER. You have done a good job of saving him for a game that may not even be played. You know better than that Lou.
Chase Utley struck out 4 times yesterday. On 13 pitches. Think about how hard that is. The Phils will need to score 6 runs per game to win this series. Can I change my prediction here?
Beckett was filthy. Crap.
Is it 6:30PM EST Yet?

MLB Division Series Picks
Win today's game. This mantra seems to have done the Yankees well over the course of the long season. After all, who would have thought back in May that the Yankees would be preparing for their first round series in Cleveland tomorrow while the Mets are practicing their handshakes for next season.
That being said here are my picks for the Division Series. Most of which I will not be able to watch as my wife and I will be in Italy (deep breath). Good thing she has an international blackberry.
Yankees over Indians in 3
Boston over Angels in 4
Cubs over Dbax in 4
Phillies over Rockies in 5

Week 4 NFL Picks--Recap
Man, this is too easy. I wish that Eric from That's What HE Said and I had bet big money on this weekly challenge we have going. I own him like the Giants D owned McNappy on Sunday night.
I went 8-6 on my picks this week. An improvement, yes. But not great. I lost my lock of the week once again (thanks Jets). But Eric went 2-12!!!!! That is not a misprint. Needless to say his blog has been curiously quiet since Sunday.
