The Giants Can Win This Game

Today is the day. After 2 weeks of ankles, spies, and parties, Super Bowl XLII is finally upon us. Now, it's time to get down to business. The New York Football Giants are going to ruin everything today. This Boston Sports Domination has got to stop, or the Apocalypse may be much closer than we think it is.

Will the Giants have to play a great game in order to win today? No Doubt. Do they have to be perfect? Nope. Really? Yes, really. You cannot expect a team to play a perfect game as it does not happen. You also do not want your team to feel that they are not aboe to OVERCOME any mistakes that may be made. This is football, where the team that makes the best adjustments will raise the Lombardi Trophy 9 hours from now.

Can the Giants take advantage of the Patriots defense? They should be able to get their WR's and Backs in the flat in a foot race with the Pats LB's. I believe that Ahmad Bradshaw along with Steve Smith will have a big part of the offense today as we try and exploit some weaknesses.

Can the Giants Defense slow down the Patriots offense? Before I went to bed last night I prayed that they could do so. As we know all to well, the key to slowing this offense is to get to Tom Brady. Easier said than done, right? Well, the Giants need to do what they have done the past month. Change up their blitzes and where they are coming from. Aaron Ross has shown the ability to get to the QB, as can Gibril Wilson. They need to come from everywhere today.

The Giants have an advantage on Special Teams and will need good field position to keep the Pats from scoring. Jeff Feagles will have to play his best game, as well.

What does all of this mean? All I know is that 98% of the predictions I have seen so far have picked the Patriots. Perfect. This is how the Giants (and their fans, ahem) like it. New Yorkers are not used to being the underdog but I must say, it is a bit fun.

If the Giants win this game today I think the MVP will be one of two players. Eli Manning, or Justin Tuck. America will soon learn why the Giants just locked up Tuck for the next 5 years even if he has only started 2 games in his short career.
