Welcome to 2008 Bobby Cano

Last Night's Game: 8-7
Season Record 7-7

Johnny Damon got the Yankees started last night with a leadoff HR, followed by a HR that the 3B hit a country mile. You would think the lead was in hand as Ian Kennedy pitched a good game, but the Yankees bullpen (sans Joba) allowed the Rays to tie the game. Bobby C. then came up as a PH and hit a HR to give the Yankees the lead for good. Mariano had his first 4 out save of 2008 as well.
A few things unrelated to winning and losing for a moment.....Our thoughts are with Harlan Chamberlain who is apparently in critical condition in Nebraska.

Today is April 15. Jackie Robinson Day. This man changed sports in America forever, and there is no athletic achievement that can top what his career meant to all of us. Jackie, thank you for standing strong and doing what you felt was right, when no one else in the world could have gone through what you did. A tip of the cap today, sir.
